Need for Speed: V-Rally 2 - This game has nothing in common with previous NFS games and was not even written by the same team. EA simply bought the rights to V-Rally, brought it over from Europe, and slapped the NFS name on it. EA also ported all 42 tracks and 11 cars, an impressive lineup compared to most racing games. This is one of V-Rally's biggest attractions because, despite having so many tracks, they don't suffer from weak layouts or boring level designs.
Each track looks different and there are many conditions (dirt, asphalt, snow, rain) for racing. The car lineup is a good collection of rally cars, including the Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer, and various other well-known brands. V-Rally has some of the most beautiful graphics, with smooth backgrounds and colorful scenery. The music is quite good, consisting of typical rock music from racing games, with a few slightly above par tracks. The biggest attraction of V-Rally is the graphics and the sheer number of tracks.
