The Phoenix Point mod will allow you to skip the intro and strike screens before starting the game. This skip does not affect the loading of the game as much as it only deletes unnecessary script files and throws you straight into the game menu.
Installation:
Using Mod Loader
Unpack the archive into the Phoenix Point/Mods folder
