Rise & Fall: Civilizations at War — The goal of the game is to defeat the enemy(s), which is achieved by first micromanaging the base and then training an army to destroy the enemy position. Both land and sea units are available, allowing for a variety of strategies, including amphibious warfare. As in most RTS games, units fight using the rock-paper-scissors method.
Military units are grouped as infantry, cavalry, special, siege or naval. Infantry, cavalry and some special units are automatically grouped into formations — groups of soldiers who receive attack and defense bonuses — when at least 8 such units are present; the maximum number of units a formation can consist of is 64. A unit's speed, attack, defensive capabilities, and range vary depending on several factors; this includes their civilization; unit type; purchased updates;
