Space Wreck is a post-apocalyptic old-school RPG in the spirit of Fallout and Fallout 2. The game takes place in space, 20 years after a major conflict over asteroid mining. The main focus in Space Wreck is on role-playing elements. Players need to pay close attention to dialogues with NPCs, skill upgrades, and making decisions in non-linear situations. Characters may even refuse to talk to the hero if their charm level is too low.

Many problems can be solved in multiple ways, so gamers need to be resourceful. For example, you can gain access to a terminal not only through hacking but also by using the skill of blackmail. The decisions made have consequences and can significantly alter the ending.
