Test Drive 6 — The player is offered the opportunity to practice, in which various tracks and cars are available to choose from. The tracks in the game are based on real cities around the world. The cars are licensed models from well-known global manufacturers. In career mode, the player must complete racing competitions and earn money to buy new cars and tune them.

In races there are checkpoints, when passing through which the time for completing the competition increases. There are police patrols on the streets, which begin a chase if you exceed the speed limit. If a police car gets in front of the player and the player stops, this will lead to arrest. If the player does not manage to pass through the checkpoints before the time runs out, the race will have to start over. There is also the opportunity to play as the police, detaining the racers.
