In the center of events is a girl medium named Marianne, who goes to investigate the mysterious murder of a boy. The mystical gift allows the heroine to look into the other world, inaccessible to ordinary people. Only thanks to this skill will Marianne be able to uncover the terrible secret of the child’s death. The heroine moves from one world to another in real time, solving various puzzles. At this moment, the screen is divided into two — into ordinary reality and spiritual reality. Thus, she simultaneously studies two worlds at once.

Even before the release of The Medium, the developers from Bloober Team became famous for their horror dialogue Layers of Fear and breathed new life into the genre, so I, as a big fan of this genre, was really looking forward to The Medium, their new project.
The game turned out to be incredibly atmospheric, dark and frightening, both in its history and what is happening on the screen right now.
As a result, the game turned out to be even cooler than I expected when I watched the trailers.

Ещё до выхода The Medium, разработчики из Bloober Team прославились своей диалогией хорроров Layers of Fear и вдохнули в жанр новую жизнь, так что я, как большой фанат этого жанра, очень ждал Медиум — их новый проект.
Игра получилась невероятно атмосферной, мрачной и пугающей, как своей историей, так и происходящем на экране, непосредственно сейчас.
По итогу игра получилась ещё более крутой чем я ожидал, когда смотрел трейлеры.
Фиксированная камера, отсылающяя к первым частям Silent Hill, невероятно атмосферные локации и геймплейные фишки (главная из них — это возможность перемещаться между двумя реальностями, и видеть сразу обе на одном экране).
Очень глубокая история со сногшибательными подробностями, действительно страшный враг (его зовут Пастью, если мне не изменяет память).

I liked the plot: it’s about family relationships, it doesn’t drag, there is a frightening, dark and mysterious atmosphere that keeps you in suspense until the very end. Maybe I was in that mood, but the game dragged on for a long time, I’m still impressed (especially the end). I was just disappointed that there was no continuation.
Мне сюжет понравился: про семейные отношения, не затянут, присутствует пугающая, мрачная и загадочная атмосфера, которая держит в напряжении до самого конца. Может у мена было такое настроение, но игра очень затянула, до сих пор под впечатлением (конец особенно). Была только разочарована, что продолжения нет.
