The Thing at the Window

The main character lives with her father in the rural American Midwest. He left the girl at home alone for the weekend. In the evening, the radio announced that a strong storm was approaching the settlement. She must survive three terrible nights while a certain creature tries to break into the house. The monster really doesn't like light, so the girl can drive it away with a rechargeable flashlight.
