Ubisoft has always made great games, of which only a few could proudly be called masterpieces. The unexpectedly appeared Valiant Hearts: The Great War is one of them, at least for me personally.

And it all started with a heartbreaking trailer, before watching which I was not very eager to play this creation from Ubisoft Montpellier. My extremely emotional and impressionable mind convinced me otherwise, and yet I managed to play through the game from an interesting beginning to the final tragic end.

Valiant Hearts: The Great War is a great example of games with soul, which are very rare these days. And also this is a reminder that war is the most monstrous phenomenon on earth.

The developers brilliantly convey the era of the First World War, hiding it behind cute and beautiful art. But behind the beautiful visuals there is something more hidden - the tragic and cruel fate of people drawn into a senseless and bloody war. This is the story of five characters who are forced to go through all this chaos in order to save themselves and their loved ones. They will meet new friends, learn happiness and bitterness, and also show their unbrokenness in the face of war.

This game will not leave you indifferent and will tell you about the horrors of war and their consequences for ordinary people.

It's been a long time since I received such outbursts of emotion from a game from Ubsisoft.

This is an excellent story of creepy and terrible moments of war, as well as stories of friendship and family in a hand-drawn style. As you progress, you will be able to improve your knowledge of history a little, as well as plunge into the fascinating story of the main characters who are experiencing the horrors of war. The game was very touching, especially the ending.

And again, I find out about the masterpiece only years after its appearance... Well, seriously, Valiant Hearts: The Great War is perhaps the best game from Ubisoft. Despite the simple 2D graphics (don't think I don't like it, the game has very cool art!), it describes the disasters of war in all colors. A special plus is the interesting historical facts. Personally, after reading them, I learned a lot of new and interesting things. As for the plot, the stories of each character are extremely touching, they will not leave you without emotions. From the very beginning of the game you become attached to the characters and really worry about them. When I finished the game, there were tears. However, the fact that it can evoke such strong emotions in a person doesn’t make it a work of art?

The ending is very strong... Thanks to the developers for such an interesting and emotional journey. I believe that these are the games that are worth buying and not downloading.
