Players downgrade The Crew Motorfest on Steam due to the revocation of The Crew's licenses
Yesterday, the PC version of The Crew Motorfest race, which was previously only available on Ubisoft Connect and the Epic Games Store, was released on Steam, but in just a few hours the game's rating dropped to 47%. The reason was the poor technical condition and the situation around the first The Crew.
Judging by the negative reviews, many players did not appreciate the frame rate locked at 30/60 FPS. Other users complain about crashes, bugs and poor server performance, as well as copying of the Forza Horizon and NFS series. However, some authors of negative reviews admit that they give negative ratings due to the revocation of The Crew's licenses.
Let us remind you that the servers of this game were disabled by Ubisoft on March 31 of this year. Since the first The Crew required an online connection even in the single player campaign, it became unplayable. However, recently fans of the series on Reddit and social networks began to publish screenshots indicating that the company has begun to revoke licenses for the game.
The same situation became the reason for many players to bring down the ratings of The Crew Motorfest on Steam. For example, one of the users directly writes about this:
The game currently has mostly «mixed» reviews on Steam.
