Screenshots and Title of New Valve Game Leaked
Screenshots of a new Valve game, a multiplayer shooter with MOBA elements, have started to appear online. The project was initially known as Neon Prime but was later renamed to Deadlock.
The images were shared by insider Gabe Follower and SteamDB creator Pavel Djundik. They show various heroes, their abilities, inventory, and a map with four directions.
Deadlock is described as a mix of Dota 2, Team Fortress 2, Overwatch, Valorant, Smite, and Orcs Must Die. The design of the heroes is largely inspired by Dota, and the map resembles City 17 from Half-Life 2. Initially, the game had elements of science fiction, but Valve later shifted the focus to fantasy and steampunk due to poor feedback.
Valve has not yet hinted at the existence of its new game. Considering that closed testing is currently underway, an announcement may happen soon.
