Warner Bros. threatens to delete the YouTube channel of a popular modder because of Mortal Kombat 1 videos
Well-known modder ToastedShoes said that Warner Bros. demanded that all Mortal Kombat 1 videos be removed from his YouTube channel. Otherwise, the channel itself will be deleted.
As ToastedShoes said on social networks, the corporation saw a violation of intellectual property rights in his works:
Despite the fact that YouTube is full of content with mods for Mortal Kombat 1, the «chain letter» from Warner Bros. lawyers. received only ToastedShoes. Since the modder could not get an answer from the corporation as to what exactly the «copyright violation» was, he had to temporarily hide all the videos with the fighting game.
We've featured ToastedShoes' work on our site many times — for example, he recently modded Helldivers 2, turning the game into a Star Wars shooter.
