The creators of Baldur's Gate 3 revealed when the game will receive mod support and new endings
Developers from Larian Studios have announced the release date of the seventh major patch for Baldur's Gate 3. In September, players will receive new «evil» endings, modding tools and official support for fan addons.
The authors are currently conducting closed testing of the patch together with a small team of modders to check the functionality of the addons. Beta testing for a thousand players will open in July, and anyone can sign up for it. In addition, the developers are busy introducing a photo mode into the game and cross-play.
The creators of Baldur's Gate 3 explained that mod support will work on the Mod.io platform, which will allow add-ons to be installed on both PCs and consoles. In addition, mods will not conflict with each other and «break» the game. Unfortunately, you can only create fan addons on PC.
The seventh patch will be released in September. Previously, the developers showed several shots from future endings that will appear in the game with the update.
