The author of Stardew Valley promised to continue releasing free updates

The creator of the cozy simulator [game=49592]Stardew Valley[/game], Eric Barone, promised that all future updates for the game will remain free. He even asked players to take a screenshot of his oath so they would never break it.

He published this statement on social networks under the nickname ConcernedApe, discussing support for the project with subscribers:

The developer himself is currently working on the next patches for the game, as well as its mobile port. There is no release date for the updates yet. Note that Eric Barone has been supporting Stardew Valley for 12 years, constantly adding new free content to the game.

By the way, recently one enthusiast decided to make it much more difficult for himself to complete a farmer simulator. He created a mod that deletes all game saves for viewing the Stardew Valley Wiki.
