Two games based on the cult film Halloween will be released at once

As reported by IGN, the creators of Evil Dead: The Game from Boss Team Games are working on two games based on the 1978 film Halloween. One of the projects is being consulted by John Carpenter, the director of the original horror film.

As a huge gamer myself, I'm thrilled to help bring Michael Myers to life again in this game, and my hope is to scare you silly.
— John Carpenter, director of Halloween

At the moment, there is only a poster of the game and a few details. It is described that both projects will allow players to relive moments from the cult film and even act as familiar characters from the franchise. One of the games is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5, so we can hope for realism in the graphics.

Working with iconic characters like Michael Myers and developing the original vision of John Carpenter is literally a dream come true. Everyone at Boss Team is excited and honored to be working with Malek Akkad and John Carpenter to create a unique experience that fans of movies and video games will love.
— Steve Harris, CEO of Boss Team Games

The release date for both games is currently under wraps.

A remaster of another John Carpenter film is also in the works. The updated shooter The Thing will be released this year on PC and consoles.
