Valve has officially announced its new game
After numerous leaks, Valve has stopped ignoring the elephant in the room and created an official page for its MOBA shooter Deadlock on Steam. However, you won't be able to play the project directly yet.
The day before, SteamDB users noticed that the game finally got tags, and last night Valve acknowledged the existence of the shooter by creating a page in its store. So far, the project has a very meager description and doesn't even have system requirements. The Deadlock profile states that the game is «in early development.» The authors warn that the current build is still full of temporary graphics, the gameplay has not yet been polished, and the localization is not finished. You can't play Deadlock either — you can only access the project by invitation from another participant.
It's ironic that a few hours before this, the long-suffering Concord was released on PC and PS5. According to SteamDB, at its peak online, it was played by only 697 gamers, while Deadlock had almost 30 thousand users before the official announcement.
Recall that Deadlock was first heard about in May of this year, when a lot of in-game materials, including a build, leaked online. The shooter does not have a release date yet.
Recently, users noticed that Valve made some changes to the Half-Life 2 profile. We are probably expecting a large-scale update in honor of the game's 20th anniversary.
