Warner Bros. reportedly developing a new game set in The Batman Universe
Matthew Belloni, who worked at The Hollywood Reporter, published an article about the financial situation of Warner Bros. Discovery. The company is experiencing difficulties with stock growth and may sell its gaming division.
The journalist noted that selling the business is not so straightforward, as the company's head David Zaslav considers games a promising direction. Moreover, various WB divisions have started cooperating more closely than before. Thanks to this, the company approved not only the Penguin series but also a full-fledged game in Matt Reeves' Batman universe.
Unfortunately, Belloni does not know the details of the game — in theory, it could be either a mobile title or a full-fledged AAA game. There is a chance that Rocksteady is working on it — in Jason Schreier's investigation, it was reported that after the failure of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the studio wants to return to its roots.
Earlier, Robert Pattinson's character appeared in Batman: Arkham Trilogy. As for the new film, it has been postponed to 2026.
