Removable Drives in High Demand After PlayStation 5 Pro Announcement
PlayStation 5 Pro is predicted to have good sales on par with the PS4 Pro. It seems that analysts were right: after the announcement of the new console, players rushed to buy removable drives.
As is known, the PS5 Pro, priced at $700, will be released without a disc drive. Owners of physical copies are offered to buy a removable drive for $80.
Kotaku reports that within 24 hours of the official PS5 Pro announcement, the drive became extremely popular. Major retail chains — Amazon, Best Buy, and Target — have already sold out all the stock, with the drive becoming one of the top gaming products on Amazon.
Particularly enterprising players are already trying to resell the accessory on eBay, although the situation is not as widespread as it was during the PlayStation 5 sales. In other places, including the official PlayStation store, the drives are still available.
The PlayStation 5 Pro will be released on November 7. In this note, you can see how much the graphics in games will change compared to the regular PS5.
