New Assassin's Creed Shadows trailer drowned in dislikes

Recently, Ubisoft released a new trailer for Assassin's Creed: Shadows, dedicated to demonstrating the open world. However, gamers' attention was drawn not by the beauty of feudal Japan, but by the developers' gross mistakes.

In the new video, the studio intended to show how beautiful, authentic and well-developed the open world in the upcoming action game turned out to be. But players from the Land of the Rising Sun immediately noticed discrepancies between some details and the era and even the location. For example, in the video, a Chinese sanxian, a stringed musical instrument, sounds in the background (although the plot takes place in Japan), the main characters hold a calligraphy brush with a Chinese grip, and some buildings are made in the style of the Tang Dynasty, originally from China in the tenth century AD.

As a result, the video has already collected 72 thousand dislikes against 17 thousand likes. However, fuel was added to the fire by the fact that YouTube users suspected Ubisoft of hiring bots to inflate positive reactions under the video. All this resulted in a very long list of accusatory and mocking comments:

Oh, now I get it. The «AAAA» prefix is not a game classification, it is a sound that the publisher makes when no one wants to buy their games.
— Threshk
Ubisoft spent more money on comment bots than on the game itself.

«We want to present authentic Japanese culture... So let's have Chinese music playing in the background and a black hero fighting to hip-hop.»
— Spigan818
If you want to play a good Assassin's Creed in Japan, just download Ghost of Tsushima.

It would be much more interesting if instead of a trailer you showed a chart of your stock prices in real time.

The commentators were also amused by the trailer segment where Yasuke rides a horse (time code 0:30). The animation of the horse's walk reminded many of Michael Jackson's «moonwalk».
