Sony patents technology for creating game assets using AI and voice commands
Sony has registered another patent related to artificial intelligence. According to initial information, the company aims to develop a technology based on neural networks that will assist content creators and developers in generating game assets.
The AI is expected to convert voice commands into 3D models, which can then be integrated into games.
The technology is likely to be used for the rapid creation of background objects, which should not only simplify but also speed up the development process.
An example provided in the patent involves a user creating and modifying a chair using artificial intelligence for subsequent integration into a game scene.
Here's how the technology's workflow is described:
- The user gives a voice command;
- The AI processes the input, converts it to text, and creates a corresponding 2D model;
- The 2D model is then transformed into 3D using a specialized algorithm;
- The user can modify the generated asset using image examples or additional voice commands;
- The finished asset can be added to the game.
It is not yet known whether this new technology will be available to players.
