Despite its success, the Silent Hill 2 remake could not boast good performance and flawless gameplay at release. Developers from Bloober Team took on the fix and have already released the first patch.
The update focused mainly on optimization and bug fixes. The developers reduced the number of crashes on the latest version of NVIDIA DLSS, fixed Abstract Daddy and the fight with the final boss, removed the error due to which the ending with the UFO did not start, and also added support for AMD FSR 3.1.1 and improved performance on Steam Deck.

The developers of the Silent Hill 2 remake recently announced that they are ready to take on other games in the series if Konami offers them. In the meantime, players are busy modifying the PC version — now the horror can be played with a fixed camera.
