Rockstar Games announced an updated version of GTA 5 on PC

Two years later, Rockstar Games has finally announced plans to transfer the new features of GTA 5 to the PC version. Let us recall that back in 2022, a next-gen version was released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S with such innovations as ray tracing support, animals from GTA Online, improved textures, and more.

The developers announced this in a fresh note dedicated to updates in GTA Online. In it, the studio briefly announced that in 2025, «expanded and improved» features available on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S will appear on PC. What exactly will be included in the list is still unclear — Rockstar promised to talk about the plans later. It is expected that the new version of the game will receive additional graphics modes, 4K resolution support, improved textures, a more «lively» world around cities, and ray tracing.

Earlier, technical experts explained whether GTA 6 will run at 60 FPS on the new PlayStation 5 Pro console.
