GTA 5

Legendary continuation of the popular Grand Theft Auto series. The action takes place in the city of Los Santos, beloved since Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. For the first time, the game tells the story of three characters: Michael, Trevor, and Franklin, between whom you can switch at any time.

The open-world action of GTA 5 has become the quintessence of Rockstar's work in perfecting the franchise. Everything that fans love about Grand Theft Auto has become bigger and cooler, but most importantly — the gameplay offers so many opportunities for virtual entertainment that it surpasses real life. A new graphics engine is used, raising the quality of graphics and effects to a modern level. There is an interesting storyline, a separate version for PC, and support for modifications.

1) for the first time in the storyline, there are three main characters, each with their own strengths needed in combat;

2) the huge city of Los Santos and the even larger state of San Andreas — this was the largest AAA game world at the time of release;

3) 65 story missions, 3 endings, numerous side quests that are either repeating or unique — players simply have no time to get bored;

4) extensive gameplay possibilities: shootouts, chases, heists, car thefts, confrontations with gangs and police, parachuting, flying F-22s, and more.

5) other nice touches: upgrading cars in the garage, buying armored vehicles, healthy food for the dog, conversations with a personal psychologist, tennis, and so on.

The events of GTA 5 take place in an updated and improved version of the state of San Andreas, which first debuted in the game of the same name, offering a full set of locations: parks, forests, farmland, desert outskirts, coastal areas, caves, lakes, and mountain hills. The territory can be traversed in all directions, populated not only by people but also by dangerous wild animals.

In this state is the huge metropolis of Los Santos, modeled after Los Angeles, with all variations of urban landscapes preserved: skyscrapers, high-rise buildings, business and shopping centers, industrial buildings, middle-class houses, poor people's dormitories, and dens.

You can move around the vast game world on foot, using more than a hundred cars and wheeled vehicles, in a personal helicopter, airplane, or yacht. You can swim underwater, exploring the ocean floor, which is detailed just as well as the rest of the game world. Numerous Easter eggs and references should stimulate exploration of San Andreas.

1) Michael — a former bank robber forced to return to crime due to family problems and debts. He suffers from alcoholism, ignores his past and present life, runs away from problems, and tries to fix his psyche with the help of a psychotherapist;

2) Franklin - at the beginning of the game, he is a petty criminal and car thief. Later, he becomes an ambitious black gangster who rises in the criminal world and lives a luxurious life. A defining character in the game's ending;

3) Trevor: he studied to be a military pilot but was expelled due to mental instability. He used to rob banks with Michael, but after a failed heist, he hid for a long time. An anarchist, drug addict, and alcoholic, he is used to partying until the end, which often leaves him in unpredictable situations. He has many enemies that he has to deal with during the game.

Each of the trio has their own well-thought-out story, motivation, and life goals. Despite their forced alliance, they come together to carry out daring heists without sharing with other gangs or the police. You can switch between them at any moment, and sometimes it can be amusing since the characters live their own lives.

The narrative is in the spirit of Rockstar: characters visit shady places, strip clubs, and gangster hideouts, engage in bad conversations and swearing, and carefully plan their actions: there will be many heists, murders, and showdowns. The plot does not follow the AAA action template due to unexpected twists, victories and defeats, coincidences, and rivalries with other criminals. The government and private military companies occasionally intrude into the narrative, complicating the heroes' lives.

A common thread throughout is the relationships between the characters and their personal problems, which, as the story develops, reach a climax, and the player decides who among the trio will survive and who will die. The ability to switch between characters enhances the immersion effect. Overall, it's hard to find a player who remains dissatisfied with the plot of GTA 5 after completing it.

In addition to the main gameplay features, GTA 5 implements a maximum of ideas for entertainment in single-player mode. You can race in sports cars in the city or drive monster trucks off-road, go on photo hunts, taxi, eat mushrooms, dress in the latest fashion, hire expensive and not-so-expensive prostitutes, cause mischief, destroy equipment, play the stock market, buy everything in sight, clean up after dogs, and much more.

The best choice for single-player mode is simply exploring the world and walking around the surroundings. In such moments, anything can happen due to random circumstances, unexpected decisions from NPCs, and the amusing physical model of vehicles, shooting, and explosions. Thousands of small objects in the game have a physical profile, adding realism. Overall, everything is designed for quick immersion of the player into the thick of events.

GTA Online is the multiplayer online mode of GTA 5, which includes almost all missions from the single-player mode, as well as numerous mind-blowing competitions designed for 12-28 players. With the "Smuggler" expansion, GTA Online introduced its own "battle royale." The multiplayer uses the same game world, graphics, and physics model as GTA 5.

The player can create a female or male character who will be a newcomer in Los Santos without fame and money. At the start, there are many items available that can be used to set the character's style, but more content will unlock later, allowing for maximum individuality.

Formally, the events of GTA Online take place six months before the story of GTA 5, but there are some inconsistencies. It is recommended to complete the campaign to know the secondary characters who will give missions or trade with the player in multiplayer. Nice little things, like tennis, golf, or visits to casinos and women, have been preserved.

Over time, you will be able to meet other players at your place or visit them to have fun and discuss plans for your criminal activities. Starting from a certain level, you can establish your own gang. Then the player will become the boss and can hire other players for protection or to complete other tasks. The organization is a game within a game, with its own missions and operations.

Like in any online project, the player's goal in GTA Online will be leveling up: buying apartments and houses, cars and yachts, weapons and ammunition, as well as unlocking various items like clothing, tattoos, or hairstyles. To do this, you will need to earn reputation points and money. The former can be obtained for kills, victories in competitions against other players, completed missions, police escapes, and more. Money is noticeably harder to come by, as earning it is significantly more difficult.

Small amounts of money can be earned by fighting the environment: stealing and selling cars, robbing stores, and engaging in other petty activities. By the way, you can also be robbed, so be careful. Real money is available if the player wins in multiplayer competitions like deathmatches, races, operations, completing bosses' assignments, or getting a share from dependent players. All missions take place on land, in the air, and on water, often using weapons. Each online mode has its own features, so read the description carefully.

Let's list the main modes available at the beginning of 2018:

· "deathmatch": a single or team match, the winner is determined by points; traditional races and rallies (you drive, and the navigator tells you where to go); · "capture" and "capture and hold": you need to bring several or one valuable object to your base; · "hold": find or take valuable objects, whoever has more by the end of the match wins; · during a "raid," you need to sneak or break into the enemy base, capture a valuable object, and bring it back to your base, then the sides switch places; · in a "heist," you need to plan and execute a theft of useful cargo with other players, or escape from prison. · choosing "territory capture" means you will have to kick opponents out of their bases and destroy them all, but the resistance will be serious. · the "motor wars" mode is an allusion to PuBG, where up to four teams or 28 players are dropped onto a map, must find a car and upgrade it with weapons and armor to then tear apart their opponents.

By increasing their level, gaining more reputation points, and having enough money, players unlock more interesting, complex, and large-scale missions.
