Fan-made Half-Life 3 creators reveal demo release date
A few days after appearing on Steam, the demo version of Project Borealis: Prologue got a precise release date. The developers of the so-called «fan Half-Life 3» did not wait long and released the final trailer.
The video showed several new views of snowy Ravenholm and the release date — November 11. Let us remind you that the demo will clearly demonstrate what players should expect from the full version of the fan game. The prologue will feature completely new creatures like snow headcrabs, and the player will control the same Gordon Freeman in HEV armor.
Project Borealis is being developed on the Unreal Engine 5 as a spiritual continuation of Half-Life 2: Episode Two. Despite the technical differences, the creators promised to preserve the spirit of the series. The plot is based on drafts by Valve screenwriter Marc Laidlaw, telling the story of Alyx and Gordon Freeman's journey to the Arctic, where the heroes were supposed to find a new weapon.
Project Borealis: Prologue recently received its own system requirements. Judging by them, not everyone will be able to try out the demo version.
