YouTuber Compares Graphics in The Witcher 3 on PS5 Pro with PC Version
Has PlayStation 5 Pro made significant progress compared to PC? This is roughly the question that YouTuber Cycu1 had. He decided to compare the graphics on the new console and PC frame by frame, choosing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as a sample for the experiment.
For the demonstration, he chose a computer with powerful hardware: a 16 GB GeForce RTX 4080 graphics card and an Intel Core i7-13700K processor. The game was launched with Ultra settings, in 4K resolution and with ray tracing.
The first thing that catches the eye is the same problem with FPS. The PS5 Pro version is still noticeably inferior in terms of gameplay smoothness. There is also a slight blur, while the graphics on the PC are expectedly better:
Of course, the PlayStation 5 Pro has gone further in terms of performance than the previous version of the console. For comparison, this figure for the graphics processor in the Pro is 16.7 TFLOPS, while the regular version has only 10.3 TFLOPS. So the console has shown itself to be quite good in other popular AAA games.
In the meantime, observant users have noticed that Sony is teasing something for the 30th anniversary of PlayStation.
