Baldur's Gate 3 Player Accidentally Turns One of His Companions Into Ultimate Weapon
Even more than a year after its release, Baldur's Gate 3 is still bringing new discoveries. One player on Reddit shared his story of how one of his less-useful companions became a real weapon against mages.
Fans know that in the Underdark location, you can find a special sussura flower that has an anti-magic field. However, it cannot be used in other places — the flower loses its abilities once it is brought to the surface. But it turned out that there is a way.
According to a Redditor with the nickname JustCreamyThings, he tried to play with his pet Scratch, throwing him a flower instead of a ball. However, the effect was unexpected — the dog ate the plant and received the anti-magic effect. Thanks to this, Scratch can be used as a mobile «jammer» of opponents, which is useful — there are many mage enemies in the game. Moreover, the ability persists even after leaving the Underdark.
Unfortunately, the effect disappears if you recall Scratch and re-summon him. However, the exploit can be a great help in the first act of the Valor mode.
Recently, the director of publishing Larian Studios hinted that Baldur's Gate 3 is «not finished yet». Now fans are hoping that the game will receive some new content. In the meantime, the game is still popular and even breaks its own records.
