Larian Studios Hints at New Content for Baldur's Gate 3
Despite the fact that more than a year has passed since the release of Baldur's Gate 3, the game maintains a fairly high online presence on Steam and consoles and even breaks its own records. The director of the publishing house Larian Studios hinted that the studio is not finished with the project yet.
Recently, Michael Douse said that over the past year, the average daily peak of simultaneous connections in Baldur's Gate 3 has grown by 3%, and the daily number of active players — by as much as 20%. On Steam Deck, everything is also good — 61% more gamers play from the device than in 2023. This information was picked up by journalists, and the director of the publishing house decided to stir up interest:
Many fans interpreted his words as a hint at new content that could be added to the game. Some even voiced their wishes under the post. These include a unique romance option with Mizora for Dark Urge, the return of Avernus, a romance with Jaheira, new companions, and even a large DLC with new locations and quests.
Most likely, in the future, Larian Studios will reveal what exactly Michael Douse meant. For now, the game continues to receive support in the form of patches — for example, the creators plan to add photo mode and crossplay to Baldur's Gate 3.
Earlier, the director of the publishing house Larian Studios trolled Ubisoft amid more layoffs and problems in the studio.
