Suspicious Timing: Bloodborne Developers Schedule Maintenance on PlayStation's 30th Anniversary
Bloodborne remaster believers have another hint pointing to a potential announcement from Sony. A message has appeared in the game, announcing scheduled maintenance on December 3, 2024.
Coincidentally, that same day marks the 30th anniversary of the original PlayStation. There's a strong chance we'll see a new State of Play with some intriguing reveals—though it might be wise to temper expectations when it comes to announcements from FromSoftware.
Ahead of the celebrations, Sony launched a virtual museum showcasing the history of the PlayStation brand. They also reaffirmed that the PlayStation 2 remains the best-selling console of all time, with over 160 million units sold.
Speculation is also swirling that the 30th-anniversary event may include the announcement of a new God of War project. Rumors of a remastered collection from Sony have been circulating for quite some time.
