It’s been about six weeks since the launch of The Forsaken Hollows — the latest DLC for Elden Ring: Nightreign. Players have already explored the new classes, two endgame bosses, and a host of nocturnal enemies. Yet, one feature in particular has become a major point of frustration — the new Great Hollow map, which has triggered a wave of negative reviews on Steam.

FromSoftware president Hidetaka Miyazaki commented on the studio’s long-standing reputation for making “brutally difficult” games — and emphasized that this was never about artificially inflating difficulty just to make players suffer.
