Cyberpunk 2077 Sequel Will Most Likely Not Feature New Samurai Songs
If anyone is expecting the Cyberpunk 2077 sequel to have new tracks from the in-game rock band Samurai, fans are likely to be disappointed. As the composer for CD Projekt RED explained, the studio has no plans to record them yet.
Recently, a Reddit AMA session took place, in which Piotr T. Adamczyk took part. Among other things, he was asked about a new Samurai album (played by Refused) for the sequel, which is being developed under the code name Project Orion. The musician answered vaguely:
According to the game's lore, the Samurai group was founded by Johnny Silverhand, who died in 2023 after the explosion of Arasaka Tower. And although the plot of Cyberpunk 2077 brings him back to life in the form of a personality imprint on a neurochip, not all endings imply that the rockerboy will still remain in V's body. However, the rest of the Samurai group may still exist at the time of the sequel, including Kerry Eurodyne — it is still unclear whether they will participate in the sequel.
Earlier it became known that Geralt could appear in the world of Cyberpunk 2077. This quest was planned to be added to The Witcher 3, but after a while it was abandoned. As for the sequel to the game, next year CD Projekt RED will increase its development team.
