Ubisoft has released several gameplay videos showcasing the combat system of Assassin's Creed Shadows. The project is being developed for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and iPadOS, with a release date set for February 14, 2025.

The main action of Assassin's Creed Shadows takes place in Japan during the Azuchi-Momoyama period. The protagonists are Yasuke, an African samurai, and Fujibayashi Naoe, a female shinobi. The game features an open world, stealth, parkour, and a leveling system.
It was previously revealed that half of the game's development team consists of newcomers without prior experience.
