Insider Claims Capcom Plans to Release Resident Evil 9 Later Than Planned
Although Capcom has already officially announced that it is working on Resident Evil 9, there are more rumors than news about the game so far. A reputable insider recently reported that the release of the new part will still be delayed.
Many fans were expecting the game to be announced at the recent The Game Awards 2024 after the future project's page appeared on Metacritic, but they were disappointed. Dusk Golem, who often shares rumors about Capcom projects, has once again contacted with an explanation. According to him, Resident Evil 9 is not worth waiting for in the near future — the game is allegedly so ambitious that the studio needs more time for development. Considering the rumors about the open world, this makes sense.
(3/3) both the lens that they have a lot of other games coming out & RE9 needs more time to cook.

It's a really ambitious game anyway, so if they think it needs time then that's fine, but I do think Capcom is working out where to fit it in the next couple years probably.
Recall that recently a supposed tester shared details about Resident Evil 9. He confirmed that Leon Kennedy and Jill Valentine will appear in the game, and also told about a completely new image of the Umbrella corporation.
