Capcom confirmed the development of Resident Evil 9
Recently, there have been increasing rumors about Resident Evil 9. During the Capcom Next — Summer 2024 presentation, Koshi Nakanishi confirmed that the company is indeed creating a new game in the main series. He is leading the development.
Koshi Nakanishi led the development of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and also participated in the creation of Resident Evil 5 as a designer.
According to rumors, Resident Evil 9 will focus on Leon and Jill, and the zombies will become faster. Additionally, insider Dusk Golem believes that the events of the game may unfold in Southeast Asia.
The latest game in the numbered series to date is Resident Evil Village, which was released in 2021. The project received extremely positive reviews on Steam — a rating of 95%.
