Rumor: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Sales Were Disappointingly Low

Since BioWare is in no hurry to announce the sales of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, insiders have taken up the matter. This time, information has emerged that the studio was counting on sales of 10 million copies, but the result was less than 20%.

YouTube blogger Smash JT published a video dedicated to the game, in which he allegedly cited insider data on the circulation. There is no evidence, but the YouTuber insists that the new BioWare game has sold 1.5 million copies since its release. Presumably, the studio was counting on a circulation of 10 million copies in three months.

The only indirect confirmation of this information is the fact that the developers of Dragon Age: The Veilguard have still not disclosed sales data. As they said in a recent interview, they «cannot discuss it». Meanwhile, game designer Corinne Busche blamed the gaming community for the negativity surrounding the game, and recently senior writer Sylvia Feketekuty, who had worked at the studio for 15 years, quit BioWare.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard was released on October 31 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. At release, the project received good reviews from both critics and players, but at the same time it made it into the top most disappointing projects of 2024.

It recently became known that the hero of the first part could appear in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The game's art director shared sketches of his appearance online.
