Dragon Age: The Veilguard Game Director Blames Gamers for Game's Failure
The creators of Dragon Age: The Veilguard are in no hurry to reveal the game's sales, but they agree that the project did not start off very well. According to them, the «hate campaign» from the gaming community is to blame for the mixed reception.
In a recent conversation with Inverse magazine, game director Corinne Busche commented on the review bombing of Dragon Age: The Veilguard on Metacritic and the negative comments about the game on social networks. She believes that society simply did not accept the elements of diversity and inclusivity in the game, without which, in her opinion, the project would be less interesting. The slogan of the latest part was «Be who you want to be», but the Veilguard team went too far with its use, causing negativity from gamers.
Recall that sales of Dragon Age: The Veilguard have not been made public, although almost two months have passed since the release. According to some rumors, it did not amount to even a million copies. Meanwhile, the game has already received its first big discount of 30% on various trading platforms.
Earlier, Dragon Age: The Veilguard was included in the list of the worst games of 2024 according to gamers.
