Konami is hard at work on new Silent Hill games

The gaming portal 4Gamer surveyed more than 160 developers from Japan, asking about their plans for 2025. Konami reported on the active development of new games in the Silent Hill series — they will try to talk about the projects as early as possible.

Recall that in 2022, two new horror games based on the famous franchise were announced at once. The first was Silent Hill f — the next full-fledged part of the series, which is being developed by Konami. The events of the game will unfold in Japan in the 1960s and will be associated with mysterious murders involving supernatural forces. The second project is called Silent Hill: Townfall, and is being developed by a third-party studio No Code in collaboration with Konami. There is no information about the plot of the game — it is only known that it will be a spin-off.

Silent Hill series producer Motoi Okamoto said that both games are still in active development. He assured that the company will share news about the projects next year:

So far, the company's top priority project for 2025 remains Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater.

In addition to Konami, other Japanese studios and developers have shared a little about future games and plans. For example, former Resident Evil and Dino Crisis creator Hiroyuki Kobayashi promised to show his new action RPG in 2025, and No More Heroes creator Goichi «Suda51» Suda hinted at an imminent announcement of another project. NieR Automata producer Yosuke Saito also decided to keep up with his colleagues and teased something special for the 15th anniversary of the NieR series.
