A full-fledged sequel to the cult horror series Silent Hill. The action takes place in the 1960s in the Japanese town of Ebisugaoka. The story tells of a schoolgirl named Hinako Shimizu, who finds herself locked in her hometown after it is covered by a thick mystical fog. Under its cover, familiar reality begins to collapse: familiar streets are covered with strange organic rot, buildings and schools are distorted, and instead of people, creepy creatures appear, the images of which resemble a mixture of decaying flowers, bodily growths and distorted human forms.
As she explores the city, Hinako encounters monsters that personify her fears, loneliness and internal trauma. The combat system is limited: the heroine has practically no weapons, so she often has to either run away or use the environment to protect herself.
Much of the visual aesthetic is based on images of flowers and rotting flesh: petals growing through bodies, old houses and asphalt are everywhere, and some monsters are made entirely of intertwined roots, branches and bones.
The game explores themes of regret, despair and the need to come to terms with the inevitable. The plot is built around the question of whether Hinako will be able to maintain sanity and find some meaning in what is happening, or will she finally drown in madness and fear. This is the first part of the series that fully utilizes Japanese folklore and historical settings to create a deep psychological horror in which beauty and death merge into one.
Silent Hill f is a project of extraordinary importance. Its creators faced the difficult task of proving that the franchise has truly returned. One could argue that this was already accomplished last year by Polish studio Bloober Team with their release of Silent Hill 2, but remaking a cult classic is not the same as building a successful new game from scratch.

The criticisms are about the lack of shooting, but for me that's not a problem. Quite the opposite, because the melee combat is very well done. You learn a lot about Japanese traditions and customs.
Las críticas van porque no haya disparos, para mí no es problema, todo lo contrario porque está muy bien conseguido el combate a melé. Se aprende mucho de las tradiciones y costumbres niponas.
This game is great and if u like older Silent HIlls or are fan...u would like this one!!!!
The game is very decent, although it might appeal more to fans of Japanese culture. The awkward combat is both challenging and disciplined, and the game has a strong story, so I recommend playing on the lowest difficulty level for combat, and on the hard and higher difficulty level for puzzles. NG+ adds additional content, allowing you to achieve multiple endings (a series tradition), and the game itself isn't very long. Overall, I definitely recommend it. Considering the brutal Japanese horror in some episodes, it's not for kids.
