Artist Shows What Gothic 2's Fire Mage Monastery Looks Like on Unreal Engine 5

Digital sculptor Vlada Krasyuk showed what Gothic 2's Fire Mage Monastery could look like on Unreal Engine 5. The artist recreated not only the mage headquarters itself, but also the surrounding area familiar to fans.

In the original, the player can both visit the monastery and join the order of Fire Mage and become one of the local inhabitants. True, you'll have to pay a pretty penny for this. The location can be found in the center of Khorinis Island next to the waterfall. Vlada Krasyuk modernized the building, giving it a Gothic style, and also worked on the monastery's surroundings in the form of a bridge, rocks, and forest. Assets by sculptor MichalSornat were used for the work.

For comparison, this is how the monastery looked in the original:

Recently, the developers of Gothic 1 Remake shared another screenshot with a completely new location. They confirmed that the project is scheduled for release in 2025.
