Alan Wake 2 Game Director Confident Remedy Should Become Europe's Naughty Dog
The recent Alan Wake 2 has become one of the most cinematic games of 2023 for a reason. According to the developers, Remedy Entertainment drew inspiration from Naughty Dog's projects, striving for the same level of production and imagery.
As Alan Wake 2 game director Kyle Rowley said in an interview with the Behind The Voice podcast, he decided on the course while working on Quantum Break. Then he sought to repeat the same level of quality that Naughty Dog showed with its Uncharted. He adhered to the same thought during the development of the Alan Wake sequel.
It is likely that Remedy's long-term plans will also be reflected in the remakes of Max Payne 1 and 2, which are already in development. According to the studio's CEO, they will be of «superior quality». Recall that their production is sponsored by Rockstar Games, and the budget is equal to the cost of creating Alan Wake 2.
