Mass Effect 5 Producer Hints at Return of Morality System, Fans Believe
Paragon or Renegade? Perhaps players of the upcoming Mass Effect 5 will ask each other this question again. The hint about the return of the familiar morality system came directly from the executive producer.
Recently, Michael Gamble joined the discussion of fans who expressed concerns about the new Mass Effect. One of the fans asked BioWare to return the Renegade branch options to the game without smoothing out the sharp edges, as they did in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The producer responded to his request:

Yes, it’s true that more people played paragon. But, it would have been meaningless if renegade had not existed. The ability to choose is stronger than the number of people playing any option, IMO.
Many saw this as a promise that Mass Effect 5 would still implement the same morality system from the Shepard trilogy, which was abandoned in Mass Effect: Andromeda. Moreover, user kalaelizabeth found hints of its return in the colors and shape on the official poster of the game:

Earlier, BioWare developers reported that they abandoned add-ons for Dragon Age: The Veilguard in favor of developing Mass Effect 5. It is still unknown when the game will be released. According to insiders, the release will take place in 2026 or 2027. And recently, gameplay of the spiritual successor to Mass Effect from BioWare veterans was shown.
