SMITE 2 Developers Announce When the Game Will Become Free-to-Play

The developers of the third-person MOBA action game, SMITE 2, have announced that the game will transition to a free-to-play model as early as next week. This means players will soon be able to download it completely free of charge.

Additionally, the creators have released a trailer introducing a new god — Aladdin. He will be available starting January 13. The transition to the F2P model will take place on January 14. The free version will feature a total of 45 gods.

SMITE 2 entered early access in August 2024. On Steam, the project has received mixed reviews, with a rating of 60%. Currently, the Founder’s Edition is being sold for $30.

In the game, players engage in multiplayer battles against each other, with mythical gods as the main characters.
