Resident Evil 5 Gets Age Rating for Xbox Series Consoles

It is possible that fans will see a re-release of Resident Evil 5 for current platforms. Users noticed a mention of the game on the ESRB rating agency website — so far only Xbox Series is listed.

There is critically little information, and other platforms are not mentioned. It is only known that the game was assigned a 17+ rating due to blood effects, violent scenes and swearing. There is also no official statement from Capcom.

The Resetera forum suggested that Capcom decided to update its classic for Nintendo Switch 2, unlocking FPS and increasing the resolution to 4K. By the way, this is not the only part of RE that received a rating for the Xbox Series this year - Resident Evil 6 was also mentioned on the ESRB. It is possible that re-releases of both games for modern platforms will be announced soon.

It also became known that the multiplayer shooter Resident Evil Re:Verse will soon be closed.
