Insider: Warner Bros. Cancelled Batman: Arkham Knight Sequel

In a recent Kinda Funny Games podcast, journalist and insider Jason Schreier confirmed that Warner Bros. has abandoned another promising project. Rocksteady planned to make a sequel to Batman: Arkham Knight, but the action game was canceled in favor of another game.
Presumably, the sequel focused on the story of Damian Wayne (Robin), and the game itself was developed by WB Games Montreal in the style of Batman Beyond. However, in 2017, the project was closed in favor of Gotham Knights, which was released in 2022 and received devastating reviews from gamers and critics.
By the way, a new rumor has recently spread about the next Batman game, which Rocksteady is allegedly considering. According to insiders, the studio is working on Batman Beyond — perhaps the developers returned to the ideas of the project canceled in 2017. Three Warner Bros. Games studios were also closed recently, including the developers of Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor.
