Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone Failure Leads to Layoffs at Studio, Cuts in Support

The shooter Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone was recently released on PC in Early Access. The game received mixed reviews from players and a low online of 269 people, which led to layoffs in the The Farm 51 team.
On their website in the section for investors, the developers reported that out of more than 50 people, 15 employees had to be laid off. In connection with this, the studio had to suspend work on some of the promised content for Chernobylite 2. Now the developers intend to focus only on the most important, including localization and optimization.
As for audiovisual and story content, we will limit work on those elements that were planned as key for the release of the full version, with the exception of DLC content and some additional elements that we have not yet informed players about.
However, The Farm 51 does not plan to keep Chernobylite 2 in early access for long. The full version will be released within 6-10 months. The developers have already promised to release a roadmap, and support for the shooter will also continue after the release.
Recall that Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone received only 62% positive reviews on Steam. Players mainly criticize optimization, translation, and poor graphics condition at a high price.
