Testing of the new Battlefield has recently started, thanks to which gameplay details have appeared online. This time, participants reported a possible return of a controversial function.

Insider reports are talking about 3D spotting — the ability to mark an enemy with a visual mark that is displayed above the opponent on the map and in real time. This mechanic encourages teamwork, but not all players approved of its use, believing that it gives away the position too easily. According to a Reddit user with the nickname error_point, who is participating in testing Battlefield, the function is present in the current build of the game.

Earlier, the first look at the new map in the future Battlefield, as well as full-fledged gameplay, appeared online. Let us remind you that the shooter is being developed for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X / S with an approximate release window in the first half of 2026.
