World of Warcraft General Manager John Hight has left Blizzard Entertainment after 12 years. The industry veteran called his departure «the beginning of a new quest».
John Hight has worked at Blizzard since 2011, joining the staff as a senior producer for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria. During his career, he moved from this position to executive producer and then vice president of World of Warcraft. In 2021, he takes over the entire franchise. In addition, he led the development of Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls, World of Warcraft: Legion and Battle for Azeroth.
Let's remember that in April Blizzard decided to cancel the BlizzCon exhibition this year.
