The seventh patch for Baldur's Gate 3 has been released on PC
The developers from Larian Studios have finally released the long-promised seventh patch for Baldur's Gate 3 on PC. The major update with new content will require 160 GB of free space for installation.
The most important things that the patch includes:
- New «evil» endings for all characters, including Tav, Dark Urge and companions;
- Improvements for the Honour mode — for example, some bosses received additional abilities;
- Official set of modding tools and support for fan add-ons;
- UI fixes;
- Kuo-Toa can now be summoned for the final battle;
- Improved animations, including kissing scenes for Shadowheart;
- Optimization and improved game performance;
- Splitscreen for multiplayer;
- Numerous bug and shortcoming fixes.
The developers also touched upon the possibility of adding the bard Alfira as a companion. Unfortunately, the only plot development option left for her character is with the Dark Temptation.
The patch is currently only available for PC players: console owners will have to wait an indefinite amount of time. The update weighs just over 11 GB, and its installation requires 160 GB of free space. The developers advised players to delete and reinstall the game if there is not enough disk space.
In the future, Larian Studios plans to release several more smaller updates. One of them will add crossplay and the promised photo mode to the game.
It was previously reported that Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 will compete with Baldur's Gate 3 in the number of lines for the script.
