Assassin's Creed Valhalla: Jotunheim Quests Walkthrough

A detailed guide to completing all the quests in the «Saga of the Snows» quest chain in Assassin's Creed Valhalla.

To enter Jotunheim, you first need to complete the Asgard quest chain «The Fate of the High One». When you return to the real world, talk to Valka and bring her the necessary ingredients for the «Going Deeper» quest.

Once in Jotunheim, follow the trail until you reach a gigantic tree. In front of the tree, you will see a bench and four stone circles on the ground. Stand on the circle farthest from the tree to open the passage to Angrboda's hut. Go up and talk to the witch.

When the quest updates, follow the marker on the map to a large stone circle. Climb the hill and read the inscription on the stone. At that moment, a waterfall will appear in place of the circle. Jump down. In the cave, use «Odin's Sight» and find three roots for the witch. Return to her, give her the ingredients and watch several cut-scenes.

Explore the «Serpent Tree» area. On the glade, you will see traces of a battle. Examine the tree, the cart, and the cartwheel. Follow the trail with fallen trees at the end of which on the left you will see Skrymir's glove. Enter inside.

Follow to the locked door, then turn around and run into the opened passage. Run forward until you see the cauldron. To shrink it, circle the trees and look through the passage in the center. It will become much smaller.

Go to the «Thrym's House» area and examine the frozen lake. Dive into the water and swim to the submerged house. Make your way through the cave and find the gift «Thor's wedding wreath».

Head to the town and bring Suttungr the cauldron of mead. In return, he will announce a great feast. Before the celebration, you need to find and bring Suttungr's daughter named Gunnlod to the feast. She is located near the longhouse. Go down to the road and examine the stone circle. To remove the illusion, find a goat's skull on one of the stones and circle it. Go down to the cave, talk to Gunnlod, and head to the feast.

After talking to Suttungr, you need to introduce yourself to the Jotnar. Choose the following options:

The guests will quickly empty the mead in the cauldron, and Suttungr will have to ask Gunnlod to open the cache. Run into the town and enter the cache. If you have completed the «A Gift from the Past» task, then choose the love scene with Suttungr's daughter. When the hero wakes up, search the cache and collect the mead. Leave the cave.

You will face a fight with Suttungr, as Loki told him about your intentions. Suttungr, although drunk, is incredibly strong. His most treacherous attack is the icy rain. When it comes, quickly take cover by the torches. Otherwise, the character's speed will be halved, and you will hardly be able to defeat the enemy.

Reach Mimir's well. Before entering the cave, you will meet Loki again. You will have to fight him. This enemy is very fast, so it's practically impossible to defeat him without the «Hair's Breadth from Death» skill. Don't try to use a bow, as Loki will almost immediately disappear after aiming. Wait for the boss to try to attack and dodge. When time slows down, make a few quick strikes. Repeat these actions to win.

Watch the video and run to Mimir's well in the cave in front of you. At the end of the cut-scene, move to the real world. To save time and wake up, open the global map, find, and press on the «eye» icon.

This is the final quest in the mythical world of the gods. Meet with Tyr and talk to him. After the cut-scene, fight the wolf Fenrir. The recommended power for the battle with him is 280, but you can try your luck at a lower value (depending on the difficulty level you are playing the game on).
