How to Fish in Assassin's Creed Valhalla

Fishing is a new mechanic for the Assassin's Creed series. You can get valuable rewards for catching fish, including crafting materials, runes, and tattoo designs. In this guide, we will tell you everything you need to know about fishing in Assassin's Creed: Valhalla.

How to Fish

First, you need to build the Fishing Hut in your settlement. After this, you will have the fishing gear. To start fishing, get to a body of water and equip the fishing line through the inventory («Items») or the quick selection menu (press the «Down» button on the D-pad). Aim using L2/LT and press R2/RT to cast the line. When the gamepad vibrates, you need to pull it towards you. To do this, press R2/RT, then repeatedly click the X/A button and tilt the left stick away from you. When the line turns red, release all buttons, wait for the color to return to normal, and then continue pulling. If you don't catch any fish within twenty seconds, try fishing in another spot.

Using the line is not the only way to catch fish. For example, you can stun them using oil jars. Just throw them into the water and shoot. After the explosion, all nearby fish will float to the surface. You can sell them to Art.

But if you want to get the «Good Catch!» trophy, you need to catch 19 different types of fish using the line. We will show the best fishing spots on the maps.
