Where to Find All Animal Companions (Amigos) in Far Cry 6
In Far Cry 6, as in other parts of the series, there are companions. In this game, only a variety of animals are used as companions. They travel with the hero and assist him in combat. In this material, we will detail each of the companions and how to obtain them.
Who are the Amigos
The developers at Ubisoft have placed all companions in a separate section — Amigos, where the player can choose the best assistant for gaining tactical advantages in subsequent battles. You can change the active animal at any time, but after its call, you will have to wait some time.
Each Amigo has its own set of useful qualities that will come in handy in various situations (stealth or open combat). Below are all the animals available in the game, indicating the tasks for completing which you can unlock a new companion. To familiarize yourself with the complete walkthrough of each mission, refer to our special guide. It is worth considering that all Amigo abilities are unlocked sequentially (from the first to the third).
Guapo. How to get the alligator (crocodile)
You can unlock the animal at the very beginning of the game. For this, follow the story missions. After completing the task Juan of a Kind, the first companion will join the character.
Features: automatically regenerates its health and independently comes to senses after health decreases to a minimum.
Abilities:
- Body Control. Health regenerates automatically.
- Cornered Beast. Receives additional protection while the alligator's health drops below 50%.
- Reptilian Metabolism (kill 50 targets with Guapo). Independently comes to senses and restores 90% health.
Chorizo. How to get the little dog
This animal will join the hero only after completing certain tasks. First and foremost, the player needs to complete the initial mission Meet the Monteros in the western region. After that, a new camp will open up where he can befriend the dog. Find Chorizo to the right of the mechanic's bench and sequentially perform the tasks Who's a Good Boy and Fetch Quest. After this, the player will be able to take the new Amigo on missions.
Features: distracts enemies and allows the player to sneak up behind the opponent and catch them off guard, as well as digs up resources and marks components nearby.
Abilities:
- Bloodhound (distract 10 enemies with Chorizo). Marks the nearest components.
- Yes, You Can Pet (mark 36 loot containers with Chorizo). Petting the dog restores the hero's health.
- Keen Sense (heal with Chorizo 50 times). Constantly digs up resources.
Chicharron. How to get the battle rooster
This companion will be available after completing several quests. First, head to the 67th Legends camp and check the note marked with an exclamation point on the mini-map. Proceed to complete the quests Man's Best Frenemy, The Red Rooster, and Under the Wing, in each of which the hero needs to accompany the bird and assist it in combat. After completing the third mission, the player will gain access to Chicharron.
Features: swiftly attacks enemies, dealing considerable damage, knocks down opponents, and dodges enemy attacks.
Abilities:
- Steroid Rage (kill 12 enemies with Chicharron's help). The bird attacks faster and deals double damage when its health drops below 70%.
- Very Angry Bird (kill 24 enemies with Chicharron while the animal is in a state of steroid rage). Knocks down the enemy.
- Chicken Legs (knock down 50 enemies with Chicharron's attack). Dodges enemy attacks while in a state of steroid rage.
Boom-Boom. How to get the big dog
This animal joins the hero after completing the side quest All or Nothing. The quest to find the companion can be accepted in the camp after liberating Talia in the story mission Meet Maximas Matanzas.
For this, head to the western part of the Maximas Matanzas gang area in Valle de Oro. Shoot the lock to open the doors and meet the new companion. The screenshots above show the exact location of the animal.
Features: picks up resources from the bodies of dead enemies.
Abilities:
- Pointer (collect resources from 10 corpses with Boom-Boom's help). Can mark the locations of soldiers and animals with the companion.
- Experienced Hunter (mark 24 animals with the companion's help). The dog marks targets from a greater distance.
- Thick Skin (mark 50 enemies with Boom-Boom's help). The companion withstands more damage.
Oluso. How to get the panther
The last companion is unlocked as a reward for completing the Triada's Blessings quest, in which the player must find three treasures and defeat an ancient god. After collecting all the relics, return to the original location and battle the panther. After winning, revive the animal to gain the last Amigo.
Features: silently eliminates enemy targets from the shadows.
Abilities:
- Luck Past Abosi (kill 12 enemies in the forbidden zone with Oluso's help). Increases the chance of successful stealth kills.
- Wrath of Ida (perform 2 stealth kills with Oluso's help). A successful stealth kill scares nearby enemies and makes them flee.
- Mist of Oku (scare 50 enemies with the companion's help). If the animal's health drops below 50%, a smoke cloud will appear around it, making the panther invulnerable to any damage. Furthermore, the animal can quickly regain health and will be even less visible to enemies.
Triada's Blessing. How to find three relics
In this section, we will detail the treasure hunt that will help you acquire one of the strongest companions in the game. To activate the mission, head to the Olusa cave on the initial location on the Santuario island.
Proceed forward through the narrow tunnel and find a note. After reading the text in the journal, the Triada's Blessing mission will appear. Now, the player needs to collect the following treasures from the caches (each displayed as a separate quest):
- Triada Relic: Ida (Madrugada region).
- Triada Relic: Oku (Valle de Oro region).
- Triada Relic: Mimo Abosi (El Este region).
Triada Relic: Ida. How to find the treasure
Head to the point marked on the map. Study the note and use the Grappling Hook to climb the mountain. Use several vines and enter the Lunatico cave. Descend inside using the Grappling Hook and jump onto the rope on the right.
Slide down the rope and jump down to catch another rope. Repeat this action several times and use the white arrows on the walls as clues. They will help find the correct path forward.
Collect the idol and proceed to search for the next treasure.
Triada Relic: Oku. How to find the treasure
Travel to the second marker to Fort Oro. The door will be closed, so you'll have to return here at night.
Enter and go to the room on the right. Move around the table and watch the mirrors break. Only one will remain intact. Break it and press the hidden button.
We exit the room and move straight ahead. In the next room, we study a note that gives a hint for the puzzle. Use the following sequence of buttons on the table:
- Central.
- Left.
- Right.
We go up to the second floor and examine the paper on the piano. Another secret room will open, where the character will find the dungeon key. We go down to the first floor and open the locked grate. Follow down one more floor. The path is blocked by planks, so we cut them with a machete.
We go to the end of the room and press the red button on the column to the left. Turn around and go to the next room.
Use the Grappling Hook and climb onto the roof of the building.
Slide down the rope and jump into the well. Again use the hook and collect the third idol in the cave.
Triada Relic: Mimo Abosi. How to find the treasure
We head to the marker and break the door of the hut using a machete. Inside, we pick up the key and go down to the excavations.
Destroy the wooden pallet and pull out the wire from the generator. Go down and jump into the water. Swim forward and climb out in the cave near the red smoke.
On the left, we go through the metal grate and turn on the fans. Wait for a short period and go down using the Grappling Hook.
Climb onto the ledge and come out onto the open platform. Quickly collect the idol, inspect the chest, and move away to the side, otherwise, the hero will be buried under rocks.
Olusa Cave. How to defeat the panther
We return to the Olusa cave on Santuario island. Open the chests and place all the idols.
Proceed forward into a new cave, climb into another storage and fight the guardian spirit. Use the most powerful weapon to defeat the beast.
Sometimes the opponent will split into several entities, but they can be destroyed with one accurate shot from any weapon.
Revive the animal after victory and get a new pet. Also, the player will have access to the stealth supremo True Sight, which allows marking enemies in cover and shooting through walls when using the obtained rifle La Varita for completing this task.
