During their journey through Resident Evil Village, players will encounter four peculiar puzzles known as Norshteyn's Labyrinths. However, to activate them, special balls are required. In this guide, we'll show you where to find the necessary items for the labyrinths, as well as provide some tips for solving the puzzles.

What are Norshteyn's Labyrinths in Resident Evil Village? Features of these puzzles and activation balls

  • Each labyrinth is essentially a toy model of the locations of each of the four lords. The balls themselves and the rewards for solving the puzzles also hint at the characteristics and attributes of Miranda's children.
  • Once you find a ball for activating a labyrinth, you can play a mini-game. After completing the puzzle, you will receive a treasure as a reward. The essence of the labyrinth is to guide the ball to the finish line. To do this, you will have to tilt the decoration in different directions. You can also change the side from which you are looking at the labyrinth.
  • If you drop the ball, you can attempt the puzzle again.
  • The reward from all the completed labyrinths totals 72,000 lei. Honestly, you would expect a heftier reward from such puzzles.
  • The found balls are plot items, so you cannot sell them to The Duke.
  • The labyrinths in the Beneviento and Moreau locations can only be completed after the battle with the main bosses. But in the case of Castle Dimitrescu and Heisenberg's factory, you will have to solve the puzzles before fighting these lords, as you will not be able to return to these locations. Only loading an earlier save will help.

Where to Find Norshteyn's Labyrinth and the Ball with Flower and Swords in Castle Dimitrescu

You will find the puzzle next to The Duke, near the typewriter. You can obtain the ball for it after getting the Dimitrescu key and being chased by the castle's mistress herself. After going up the elevator to the inner courtyard, head to the next door:

It opens with the Dimitrescu key. Then you will find yourself in the opera hall, where on the second floor in a small box lies the ball for the labyrinth:

The puzzle is relatively easy to solve. The main thing is not to lose the ball in one of the three holes at the final stage. But you can easily avoid danger if you do not rush. As a reward, you will receive a crimson skull, which The Duke will gladly buy for 8,000 lei.

Where to Find Norshteyn's Labyrinth and the Ball with Sun and Moon in House Beneviento

You can find the puzzle after getting the second flask. The way back to the village will be blocked, and you will have to take a detour through the garden, where you will find the box with the ball in the following place:

The labyrinth itself is located in the house, a bit higher than where you found the ball:

The second puzzle is also quite simple. You just need to slow down the ball on the turns so it doesn't fly off the track. By completing the labyrinth, you will find an onyx skull, which the Duke will value at 15,000 Lei.

Where to find Norstein's Labyrinth and the mermaid ball at Moreau's Reservoir

The next puzzle can be found near the elevator that leads to Moreau's cave. Simply follow the storyline in search of the third flask, and then take a look in the following building:

You can only pick up the ball after defeating Moreau, when you obtain the crank. After taking the elevator up from the cave, near Norstein's Labyrinth, look for a previously locked passage. This is where the crank comes in handy. Then find a small altar where you can pick up the mermaid ball:

The third labyrinth is also easy to complete. You just need to not drop the ball in the single hole on the track. As a reward, you will receive a chartreuse skull valued at 20,000 Lei.

Where to find Norstein's Labyrinth and the horse ball at Heisenberg's Factory

The labyrinth itself is located in a room close to the Duke:

You can start looking for the ball only after passing through the huge circular shaft, where you need to deal with two armored zombie-drillers and stop the massive fan. Then you will enter the area between the crusher shaft and the ventilation duct. You need to move a cart in the following location:

After making your way through the ventilation shaft, you will find a secret room where the mold with the ball is located. Then take the item to the foundry you are already familiar with on level B4, where you had to cast the gear and keys. The horse ball is created in the same way.

Compared to the previous puzzles, the last labyrinth has significantly more dangers. Therefore, we will give several tips for completing it right away:

  1. Before the gear, we recommend immediately flipping the labyrinth to the left — it will be easier to tilt the labyrinth properly.
  2. After the gear, be sure to flip the labyrinth again to notice the broken fence where the ball can fall.
  3. Before the moment with the cart, we advise to slow down the ball's movement drastically at first and push it as close to the hole as possible. As soon as the cart approaches, tilt the labyrinth maximally so the ball falls into the hole in time.
  4. When the cart starts moving away, tilt the labyrinth maximally about halfway through the journey so the ball can make it onto the track. This is the last dangerous moment in the puzzle.

By completing the labyrinth, you will receive a brown skull valued at 30,000 Lei.
